The Appeal to Give
The Parks for People Campaign is significant to our community because it is an opportunity to show our resolve to create a better future. These projects will transform Rensselaer and make it a more attractive and competitive community for working families, local businesses and corporations. We will build a Rensselaer that will be better and stronger for tomorrow. Having a population that has enhanced opportunities for recreation gives our community a stronger cohesiveness and a better ability to address the uncertainties of tomorrow.
We are asking businesses, foundations, retailers, financial institutions and their employees, City Government and their Employees, individuals, and agri-business to consider making a gift. You can find out more about Ways to Give, How to Give, Commemorative Opportunities and What It Will Take Chart describing the level and numbers of gift necessary to reach our goal.
Giving is not mandatory, and it is up to you to determine whether you participate or not, or at what level. Pledges over three to five years are being offered so you can improve your financial position and consider giving a larger gift spread out over the suggested pledge period.
The 3 projects under the campaign are:
- Brookside Park
- Staddon Field & Monnett
- New Dog Park
